BANISH THE WINTER BLAHS: Where to Stay Active Indoors on Both Shores

Here we go, folks. We’re heading into that dead zone between the holidays and Mardi Gras. It’s a pretty short interval, but it can feel like a lifetime after all the hustle and bustle of December. Plus, the post-holiday blues may be setting in, and the weather is probably going to fluctuate between super chilly and clammy, as it often does this time of year. Yuck!
The least we can do to help out is to provide this handy list of indoor activities in New Orleans and on the Northshore where the kids burn off energy. Many give you the option of joining in, or kicking back and relaxing while they go to town — your call!

SPECIAL CATEGORY: ESCAPE ROOMS

Okay, this category is coloring outside the lines a bit, as it’s not exactly exercise, but it’s COOL! These facilities offer up themed, interactive mysteries or puzzles for groups to solve as a team in order to escape the room in which they’re “locked.” (You’re not actually locked in, by the way.)  All offer kid-friendly options, but require parent supervision. Different, right?
